But landscapes or settings are often formative factors. They weave a foundation for the narrative construct and are crucial to locating a narrative in both time and space. In the film Edge Effects, familiar landscapes close to home meet the terrain of video games that flitted across screens in the children's room. This transfer between the physical and virtual worlds is the tension of Edge Effects.
